This rating is purely based on my experience with Marissa L. I have had difficulties with other coach but then I found... Marissa. I'll try to keep it short, however Marissa L is the best learning coach that I've encountered whilst my study with CAL.I am so grateful for all the support, encouragement and help I received from her throughout. She is a very kind and considerate towards the time and efforts students put in.She is extremely organised and very responsive. She offers many additional advices/tool to help with the process and she definitely goes out of her way to ensure students are getting what they need.I would highly recommend Marissa L to everyone who are struggling in their course at the moment or taking course with CAL. Project Management content was very outdated, however, with the new refresh of content in the last 12 months I have found CAL certainly picked up it's game. I recently completed a double diploma in project management + construction management. The online platform was very... user friendly and I was able to understand the follow the content pretty well. If I required assistance there was always motivated staff ready to assist and resolve any issues in a timely manner.Special thanks to Marrisa Litonjua and Wendy Close who assisted me greatly in further understanding the subjects and course content.CAL also offer recognition of prior learning which assisted me as I have been in the industry for 16 years and was able to gain recognition of a large amount of the course content.I would definitely train and study with CAL again in any future opportunities.read more

I found studying through CAL practical as there were no deadlines to meet, the work was all actually what self-paced is... all about. All the assessors I have completed by studies with were excellent, friendly and happy to be flexible where needed. I just completed a Diploma of Human Resources Management (plus the Cert IV pathway package). It was a seamless process... and the staff were always providing excellent support. While I had a variety of learning coaches, most of the guidance were given by Marissa L and Kerri W. They are highly experienced and provided an advanced level of coaching. Would thoroughly recommend this option.read more

The experience has been... a positive one, the two main coaches/assessors that have supported me through are Marissa and Robyn - they are amazingly patient and helped me through the assessment workbooks. I have been doing a double diploma for a few months now, and have found the staff to be very helpful, in both... completing the assigned tasks and conducting the roleplays. The staff have great customer focus, and make you really feel good about yourself and the quality of the work you produce. Feedback is always very helpful and focused. I recently asked for guidance in attaining a plan to reach my desired job role. The information provided was extremely helpful. I now feel confident in what I need to do to get the role I desire. I was provided with a well thought out plan and provided with actions I can take that will help me not only attain my desired role, but a plan I can utilise for any work-related career in the future. I got a lot more than I expected. The 30 min career guidance session provided me confidence and a well thought out plan. A very detailed and systematically designed course with excellent; helpful and friendly staff members. The mentors were... very helpful and they guided me thoroughly.It was quite a challenge to get Diploma in Project Management (BSB 50280) and Diploma in Construction Management (CPC 50308) while working but when you consistently work towards your goal, success is just next step away.I would definitely recommend Nasser Babaee- a good mentor and a guide; Kerry Waddell; Marissa Litonjua and Mehran Babaee- very supportive and a good guide. I am very pleased I made the decision to undertake online study with CAL. The flexibility of working at my own pace,... and the ease of communicating with the administration team, coaches, and assessors, have contributed to achieving my goal of completing a Diploma of Quality Auditing. Assessment roleplays were difficult to organise during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, where I needed to seek friends or colleagues willing to act as participants for a zoom meeting, write the scripts for everyone to meet the required criteria, record the session, and submit it for assessment. While this was enjoyable, it was time consuming. Assessor, Robyn Smith, implemented an excellent method of assuming the role as auditee / audit team, conducting a role-play simulation via zoom, where I was assessed immediately on my performance and received constructive feedback. I was able to make bookings for upcoming role-plays, which kept me to task in maintaining a steady flow of working at my assessments. I appreciate the guidance, skills and knowledge I have gained, and thank CAL for their part in my professional journey.read more

I started a douple diploma of Business Administration & Practice Management in October 2020. I originally gave myself... the full two years to complete the diplomas and have finished ahead of schedule after 20 months. I'll be honest and say it was really hard work at times as I also work full time and am juggling three children but I did it and couldn't be happier.The course content was good but I found listening to the tutorials hard work as the voices were really monotone. I ended up printing the script and reading it myself which helped.Pro's about the course:Good course contentWorked at my own paceCon's about the courses:Difficulty booked coaching sesions in a reasonable time particularly as I am in WAResponse to coach questions weas sometimes delayedThere were some typos in the script that were confusing at timesOn the whole, it has been a positive experience.Thanks CALread more

First the bad: I found the language used in the tasks/assessments to be a little vague and confusing. On talking with... my coach, things were cleared up, but it's that initial confusion that was slightly disheartening.It was usually a 48hr wait to speak to a coach.Now the good: My coach Marissa was great at helping me work through the issues and keeping me motivated to get through the assessments, especially during the simulations. She gives clear and concise feedback.That you can do this in your own time, is really great and if you're running behind, as I did, they're open to a discussion on extensions or what can be done to help you get through the course.There is now a new format and it's much easier to use, clearer on segments and progress.Warning: the quiz's use a lockout software that are not always compatible with a work laptop (as I was using), so keep that in mind :)read more

CAL has been a great institution to study with while working full-time as it is self-paced. The support from the... coaches has been fantastic, and the ability to use real-work situations and RPL towards assessments cuts the workload down dramatically. The main downside to their programs is the overload of required work. Learning journals, quizzes and assessment tasks with 25+ pages of instructions are not uncommon. A special thanks to Marissa for being a wonderful coach who has kept me on track to the end! The rest of the admin staff have also been excellent - always following up issues and providing a great experience. Thanks CAL team!read more

I haven’t been doing my course for long. It’s been challenging but I found the tutors to be well educated and can help... steer you in the right direction. Sometimes getting a response can take a bit of time which can be frustrating. I’m on a tight schedule and don’t get the time I would like to study, so to get a response sooner would be great. But I understand that the lecturers are busy and can’t be there 24/7.read more

I have just completed a double diploma with CAL. Comprehensive course materials and easy to use platform. However... requirements to complete units were very time consuming. A big workload including lengthy, involved assessments with many role plays and presentations as well as a lot of written documentation. In addition to assessments, compulsory quizzes and many activities that had to be completed and submitted. I found both the coaches and administrative staff very responsive and professional in dealing with issues when raised. Studying with CAL would suit students who are self-motivated and self-directed with a lot of time to commit to their studies. I would definitely recommend CAL to people who really want to learn :)read more

(*Edited) - I initially gave a one star rating with the feedback below. However I have now changed this to a 4 star... rating due to receiving a telephone call from Michael (manager of the Success Team at CAL). He reached out to me and listened and discussed my situation. He had done his homework in looking up my requests as well which impressed me. He was patient, professional and personable. Long story short he granted me my extension which was a huge weight off my shoulders. Thank you Michael (you deserve your role/title and some).(Initial review) - Really poor course format and poor coaching support. They are really quick to sign you up and take your money. When you need support, it is not immediate - you have to book an appointment which could be a week later. If you don't do your course within 24 months you have to pay extra to extend it and you can't apply for an extension until 6 months prior to the end of your course.The course format was changed halfway through the course due to not meeting national standards. There was no flexibility with extending my course because of this fact.read more

Very happy and excited to finish my Double diploma today with CAL. At a point i almost gave up on finishing my course... due to family and work as I was feeling too stressed out and could not spare enough time out of my busy schedule to do course work. I wanted to study Human Resources, and after much research went through CAL for a Double Diploma. The set up was easy,... I could navigate the site very well. I received support every step of the way which helped me get through each unit (and some are pretty big!) I was granted extensions along the way as life intervened, and the communication was fantastic. The zoom calls were convenient and comfortable to do. I have recently completed a double diploma HR & Leadership Management through CAL. This course has now been superseded,... which is good, as some of the material was a little out of date (what with legislation continuously being updated). The units are broken down well into various relevant topics, and although some were repetitive, you can re-use past work for duplicate questions and further build that knowledge base. Some tutorial questions did have a couple of errors in there, that once reported to the help centre, do get resolved - but again, superseded course, so likely those issues have been addressed in the new course. These units and assignments go IN DEPTH! It really can turn into a giant wormhole of work if you don't carefully structure your time. Resources provided in this course are plentiful and the coaches are very informed and want to see you succeed. In particular, Marissa was a real champion for me during the last 13-ish months. Her advice and wealth of knowledge was unmatched, and she was always very caring and supportive throughout the journey. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Thanks to the whole CAL team and thank you Marissa for everything.read more
