The Effective Business Case Training

This workshop gives participants the tools to plan and write an influential business case. The three key elements of the business case: the case for change, analysis of the proposal and implementation of the proposal, are all addressed together with developing the base case, alternative options and cost-benefit analysis.

Learning outcomes:

• Establish the case for change, identifying the business issue or opportunity
• Ensure alignment with agency’s strategic priorities
• Consider stakeholder requirements and how to effectively engage them
• Establish and analyse options to meet the identified agency need
• Recognise the components of a cost-benefit analysis
• Establish the implementation plan for the proposed options and how to address the required change management
• Understand best practice to prepare and present a business case
